My post today on gingerchai.com is about the various health benefits of fenugreek. Fenugreek or “Methi”, I was surprised to find out, is also called “Greek Hay”.  This power-packed herb is on most of our kitchen shelves as seeds.  If you’re thinking methi-parathas, paneer-methi-aaloo, a bowl of creamy yogurt and a dash of pickle, you’re forgiven.

Methi seeds and leaves have a number of medicinal and health benefits and are capable of curing a variety of ailments, besides enhancing your beauty and spicing up your sex life. I swear I read that somewhere. The wonderful methi can do some fantastic things, it seems.

Health benefits of Fenugreek (Methi):

Treats diabetes and balances your cholesterol  

Fenugreek seeds and leaves have been used as a natural remedy to treat diabetes for centuries and reduce blood and urine sugar.

There are so many things that people can do to help their health. Eating is probably the simplest. Make sure you have a healthy diet so you can have energy, be happy, and live longer.
