Why?
Because hypertension (high blood pressure) often does not have symptoms and you could have it for years and not know it. It can be a silent killer.
What can you do?
Get tested for high blood pressure every year. This includes all age groups and particularly those who are overweight or obese with a family history of hypertension.
Need to know facts:
Hypertension is dangerous simply because of the lack of symptoms. How scary is that? If you suffere from any medical conditions or diseases, this, combined with other factors could raise your chances of becoming hypertensive, resulting in your heart, blood vessels, kidneys, eyes, brain and other organs being damaged.
You can adopt a lifestyle that reduces your risks.
If you’ve been diagnosed with hypertension, make sure you take your medication. Do not change the dosage or stop your medication. If any of the drugs make you uncomfortable, talk to you doctor for a different antihypertensive drug.
With hypertension under control, you too can be happy and lead a good quality life.
Take care.

I agree with what you are saying here. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is chronically elevated. Hypertension can never really be cured, it can be controlled by tablets and reducing stress.
