- Don’t drink on an empty stomach. It slows alcohol absorption
- Include ice cream in your meal – high blood sugar levels, cold stuff, fat and protein-rich foods will slow alcohol’s path to your brain
- Avoid red wine and brandy – the methanol content in them is tough to break down and this makes headaches worse
- Avoid pickled fish and cheese.
