Here are some quick tips to reduce the severity and the frequency of heartburn episodes:
- Avoid chewing gum – it makes your stomach produce more acid
- Stay away from meals that are too fatty and spicy
- Do not eat huge meals in the two hours before you go to bed
- Try and stop smoking
- Cut down on caffeine-laden drinks, and also fizzy ones
