Eye care tips

Popularly called the windows to our soul, the eyes are actually an extension of the brain. Eyes are sensory organs that are delicate and easily susceptible to bacteria, virus, and injury. In fact, they can disintegrate internally, so it is very important to look after your eyes.

So how can you take care of your eyes? Here are some tips:

1. regular eye checks: if you are short sighted, you want to get an annual retinal check with an ophthalmologist.

2. if you suffer from chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, etc. make sure they are under control. 

3. wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun’s UV rays 

4. include foods rich in vitamin A and beta carotene in your diet. this means cooked carrots, tomatoes, green leafy veg, oranges, paw-paw, melon, etc.

    There are many ways to care for our eyes like regular checkups, applying cucumber juice, eating healthy food, wearing glasses, splashing water on eyes etc. For more details refer eye care tips
