Is it wise to have a baby after 35?

If you are 35 years and above, and plan to have a baby, know that there can be complications! So even before you try to conceive, you need to talk to your doc. It is common for women over 35 to take longer to conceive – and it is important that you are in good mental, physical and emotional health before you do. Cut down on your drinking and smoking habits, in fact – do away with it altogether.

It is a good idea to consult your doc and know when you are most fertile and look for signs that you are ovulating. If it is over six months and you can’t seem to succeed, do talk to your doctor to find out if fertility testing is necessary.

That said, think positive!
